No Affiliation, I saw this posted on CL in San Francisco, thought I would passs it on to the 914 forum family: No Phone Number listed only Email, Porsche 914-6 - $27500 (San Francisco) Details:
Originally a 1973 914 2.0, this car was converted to a 914-6 in the late 90's. This is an original California car, records going back to 1986. Engine: Rebuilt 1977 911S 2.7L engine (engine #6272366, engine type 911/85) with modified cams, machined case, etc. Receipts over $18,000+ back in the late 90s. Compression 185-195 across all 6, approximately 10,000 miles on rebuilt engine Added Carrera hydraulic tensionsers ~2 years ago 40IDA3C Weber Carbs Crane ignition New Bosch alternator ~3 years ago New 914-6 throttle cable New fuel sender Conversion with mostly factory parts: 911SC front end with Bilstein inserts 914-6 stub axles 914-6 oil tank 914-6 heat exchangers (restored ~2 years ago) Cosmetic: Non-stock metallic blue over original Olympic blue, from the late 90s. Repro polished stainless steel early-style bumpers, undrilled front bumper, new factory chromed fog grills New bumper tops GT style engine deck lid Center reflector insert Rebuilt fog lamps with new OEM yellow Hella covers Fresh wiper arms and nuts Hell hole is solid, as is the rest of the car Interior: Remanufactured dash top with ashtray delete German loop carpet in cinnamon Brown vinyl interior 9/10 Restored gauges + custom 4 gauge (oil, temp, volts, fuel) Momo prototipo steering wheel + offset spacer for more leg room New Blaupunkt radio with bluetooth 6" round Blaupunkt speaker pods 8" fiberglass subwoofer in passenger footrest location New aluminum door sills New carpets and CoCo mats Lots of fresh gaskets and other bits Others: Brakes - replated & rebuilt rear calipers, rebuilt front calipers and new MC Bilstein HD shocks + Ground Control coilovers 15x7" replica 914-6 GT wheels from Group 4 Wheels (http://group4wheels.com/wheels_pag1570.php) under slightly rolled fenders, 205-55 Toyo tires Optima Redtop AGM battery (new) New shift bushings The bad: Fresh air blower doesn't work - have not bothered to fix since 914 blowers were anemic anyway Paint is a 10-footer - looks great from 10 feet but up close you can see some imperfections like: - Rust bubbles from bad windshield install (see pictures) - surface rust only, checked with magnet and metal is solid - Rust bubble on right rear fender lip (see picture) If you look closely, minor body work needed on inside left front wheel well to make perfect (see picture). Body is perfectly straight with paperwork from Custom Alignment (suspension specialists) in Mountain View, CA. No sun visors included (prior owner was tall and took them off) Rocker covers rusty and should be replaced upon repaint. |
