I think if you listen to comments made by the jurors it sounds pretty clear this case didnt have much merit. The kid had been involved in other cases were he lied and had been coached by his mother. I think the problem is less with the Californian Judicial system and more with an incompetent reginal law enforcement department and a piss poor case brougt forward by the prosecution. Plenty of non celeb murders and Catholic Preists who have been accused of molestation who have been tried and released outside of California. ...but alas selective attention always gets us here as we have the all the movie stars. |

Yep, too many people think he's a child molester because he's eccentric and has some bad plastic surgery. He looks like a freak, no DOUBT, but that doesnt make him a child molester. He's had his day in court.
OJ on the other hand was found guilty in the civil trial... an entirely different situation. Ive seen a lot of people complain about actors getting off, but they are also targets for people looking for publicity or to get rich quick. Look at Kobe Bryant. Its much easier to believe an "innocent girl thats been raped" then a rich basketball player. Its almost possible to completly fabricate a story and win! The same goes for Jacko. They almost successfully fabricated a story about child molestation, and because Jackson has such a shadey past and personality, he almost lost.
