Not sure why, but I’m finding my new bilsteins just a bit too hard (firm!) work....

Miss the suppleness of the original boges (before they leaked)....

Does anyone have some advice, or ideally a set of original spec boges, for front and rear?

I’m in london, UK but I can wait!

Thanks

Alex

It makes a difference if you're using the Bilstein, Koni or Boge/Sachs Track or Street flavors. It the Bilsteins that you've got are the track, then they won't ride as comfortably on street & DD use.

You might try the Koni street as they were very nice riding with just the right handling resistance for me over the last +/- 20K miles of my `73 2L's total 172K miles - with all the rest with the stock original Boge/Sachs shocks/struts.

If you can find a full matched date set of the old school Koni "Reds" street shocks & struts, then those can be rebuilt by Koni to as-new spec.

Cheers Mate! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Do you have the old Boge rears?

You need the lower perches. All parts are available new. As well as the perches but they are 65 dollars each. I have a roller car that might have the lower perches. Most used Boge shocks are well worn.
