A group of lunatics with unrealistic values on their junk. That the pictures showcase filthy f****ed up shit only adds to the humor. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) The tees with copywrited material are classics. Porsche as well as movie character images. It's as though they use old paper catalogs trying to figure out values. Go have a look.

As the cars go up in value it is reasonable to expect the parts to go up as well. If like me you have a garage full of old shit, you can laugh or watch and see what shit sells for in today's market. That being said I really haven't looked in on the Facebook parts FS page yet. But I will get around to it.....if only for the laugh. ;-)

It was one of the 'suggested' pages FB thought I would be interested in. I don't spend much time there either. Far too many examples to list.

My daughter uses facebook. I don't. Just to help you all out (Semi related) You do not have to be a facebook "Member" to see facebook pages and posts. This is great if you want to look but be totally removed. Good for people, clubs etc.. I manage my clubs Facebook and have one for; me, my business and my job. You can't post but you can look. Just google "914 Parts Facebook" and click the link Try it for you buddy, boss, neighbor, business or wife - it is lurker heaven ... |

I agree most stuff is way overpriced for the shape it’s in. But every once in awhile...
I got a front factory valance (that needed minor work) for less than $150. But it is drudgery going through all the stuff that guys pulled off a parts car and think are worth their weight in gold bullion. |

I seem to remember somebody was restoring an MG/Austin/Triumph that was really nice. I’ll bet a lot of us have some interesting other projects ‘in process’. |
