Nice car Mike, I'd take that any day.

So, you won't be bumming around with us NARPsters anymore?

Can't get rid of me that easy. Went to Garold's BBQ with my '71 Targa.

That is not a proper replacement for a 914. I bet it even starts all the time, and the headlights don't flicker when it's idling. It probably has air conditioning that works and doesn't even overheat in traffic. I bet has wheels that are a size the tire manufacturers actually make tires to fit. Probably not a speck of rust........

A friend here in Scottsdale found a 991 manual at a CarMax of all places... they didn't know what they had. Has most of the sport options, etc. He's a long time P-car owner (and has a nice '74 2.0) and loves it.

Even though it is a BIG car I think you'll enjoy it.

I'm safe one thing I don't drink is wine! I stick with beer, I drink everything like it is beer if you know what I mean. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Funny....you sold your 914 to buy a 991 and I sold my 991 to buy a 914. Both great cars for totally different reasons. Good luck with the new purchase!

Ya know... I did the same thing about 9 years ago. But I kept the 914 also. It was nice having AC and other creature comforts of the 993 C2S. But after about 5 years I sold the 993. Still have the 914.

Very nice purchase and a bold move.

As some of you guys know, I sold a fine C4S to get an air cooled 993.... then, that not being enough car,...... I bought a 914 to see if I could handle the swings. Then, knowing how overrated AC and good brakes and handling at the edges of life are, I sold the 993 while Larmo and I worked upside down on the garage floor on the 914 on its way to a 6 in my cool man-cave carport in Laguna Beach......

Until my wonderful (993 cab tip owner PCA DH neighbor) ratted out my carport to the City as a nuisance / enter the City of LB / and away went the work space in favor of nothing productive / a carpark but no tools, no power, no nothing. They like taxable nonproductive space........

Sold the house of 20 years for some cash but not the 914.

Some things are not meant to be judged on a real estate sales value perspective......

On the original topic, now that we have a few dimes in the shoebox, I am shopping the 991 market - I've never owned one....... so what is that like?... I assume a nice experience / like the 914.

Nice thing is, your 991 and your 914 have the same wheelbase.

That's right, the wheelbase all the 911 guys moan about being too long now is finally the same wheelbase the 914 has had all along. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Nice looking car. I would love to own a newer 911 but don’t have any room in the garage or any $$
