I've put the interior back in my car.
I don't want to glue the carpet down forever.
But right now its sliding around too much.

Has anyone tried hot glue gun to get a good, but removable, adhesion between the carpet and the floor pan?

Or what about rubber cement?

In particular, I need to be able to keep access to the wires in the tunnel. so that piece needs to come up. Likewise, I need to make sure the carpet does not slip off the pedal board and bind the pedals, but is removable if I need to pull the pedal board out.

Yep, I use Velcro. Use quality strips, the heavy thick ones.
