Reminds me of the Kharman Ghia on the 911 chassis I have seen at Hersey Import show. Can’t find a link. Did find this https://flatsixes.com/cars/porsche-boxster/...a-body-boxster/

In both cases I think the Ghia came out better than the 914. All steel, better proportions. This 914 took some serious skill though.

The 914 body rides that chassis really high. Too high, to my eye and it looks like they cannot lower it any. Shorter rims might help a little but one almost needs steps to get into it.

Makes me appreciate how low the 914 really is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

100%

I like the Karman Ghia version a couple years back.

This one got me thinking.
There is a 122 in the barn...

I saw this picture of it years ago and fell in love, but had no idea of it's under pinnings. Even Better!

QUOTE(rjames @ Aug 28 2018, 11:44 AM) *

wow. Amazing.
I know it would've taken away from the 914 look, but I think it would look better if the raised front turn signal sections weren't there.
Half-assed photochop job:

That hit me immediately too. Amazing work but the rounded turn signals don’t work with the angularity of the rest of the car which is a cool modern update.

Looks like its on jack stands.
Cool idea. Proportion sacrificed to suit chassis

Yep it does sit too high. I dealt with that on my 914-996 Audi TT project. The strut towers of the Boxster sits about 3" higher than that of the 914.

I get people doing custom work. Sometimes they go way overboard and waste cubic dollars for a "look" that doesn't perform better. Lost me there.

It’s like a 70 year old man with a 16 year old babe. The idea might be apealying from the man but it’s just wrong from any other view point.

Wonderful skills at work here

It looks like a bad kit car. All that work for what?

Reminds me of those Vettes that are back dated to a '50's-something model.
