My wife (who is completely computer illiterate, and basically doesn't care much for my cars) was absolutely floored by the compassion and generosity of the club members when I made her come in and read of the terrible events that befell one of our 914club members.
To all of the members, who through creative thinking, went well above and beyond just a simple donation.....you've set new personal high scores in the karma points game of life! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) -hat tipped- I just wish it wasn't necessary... Hi everybody.
I spoke with Steve a little while ago. He sounded good. He was taking his youngest son (Markus) for a bike ride out in the country. He said that he and Sherida were doing pretty well, although they haven't been able to handle going to Easton's room yet. Tomorrow night, Steve said he and a couple of his friends who are master carpenters are building Easton's coffin. Steve said, nothing seemed right at the funeral home. I think that is so touching. The service is still scheduled for next Thursday. I told him what we (914club) are all continuing to do for their family... and he is astounded. He doesn't know how their family will ever be able to express enough thanks. I told him that it wasn't necessary. It was our honor to help him bury his son. Anyways.. he said that he and Sherida will put a little photo tribute together and post it on the site in the upcoming week. Steve has some good photos of Easton in the 914. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) Thanks everybody. Regards, Qarl |

This place so kicks ass...
I've followed this for quite a while and checked in for updates. As a father, I'm so protective of children. I honestly can't imagine what ^Easton's^ family is going through. I wish them all the best. They will always be in my family's thoughts. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-2-1118891872.jpg) |
