I am trying to replace the outside window scraper on my 1973 914 door. I've removed the small screw from the end cap but am wondering how to get this piece loose. I've tried to pry it up but I do not want to break it anymore than I already have. Do I have to loosen the rear rail inside the door for the window glass? Also, are these still available? I've found them at AA but they are only for 70-72 cars.
Can anyone advise please? |

There is another screw in the glass channel near the top.
Peel back the fuzzy out of the channel about an inch down and you will see it. Undo that screw and pull ths cap straight out. |

Thank you for your help. Can you get to it from the top without taking the door apart and the glass out? Yes....roll the glass all the way down. Use a long phillips head screw driver. Once the screw is out pull it straight up. If you drop the screw...then you are talking the door card off. |
