my shift linkage rattles unless i'm in 1st gear. i can get it to stop while rolling by nestling the shifter into the 1st gate and engaging the syncro's only.
the pic shows what i think is the problem as it's loose and sounds the same.
it looks easy to fix, but i need to know what to get, or if it's something else.

the image is of the right angle drive for the speedo....it will rotate.

Check the linkage against the warm air guide....other side of engine/tranny
