About 4 folks pm'd me about the spare tire mount that Kent put in Michaels 914-6.. Kent sent me a pattern so I had some cut.

Gonna sell them for $30 shipped to cover costs. These are made of 16ga so a little heavier but still very flexible for you to shape to your car.

So you remove your old mount and weld it on to your mount?

Not making any money on these . Just breaking even.. It's a service only and Kent knows that as he sent me the patterns as I told him some people were looking for this mount to be made and had asked me..

So if you want a break down cost is 20 dollars for the part to be cut as only did 10 of them. 7.45 for the USPS flat rate shipping oh and the 2.55 is eaten up in paypal fees..

I like it...a lot!

But allow me to be a bit of a Debbie Downer...in a frontal crash that little bracket isn't going to take much force before it rips out, and I suggest you may lose a lot of front-end crash absorption without the tire mounted horizontal/flat. But that's purely a WAG and I wonder if it really matters much.

It probably does but if you are doing a front oil cooler you have limited options for placement. Cutting big holes in the front trunk and fenders for a radiator doesn’t help eaither. I’m sticking with a steel bumper instead of glass but that will also have a GT cut out for a cooler. At least my life insurance is paid up.

Porsche did also place a spare tire mounting point in the back trunk.

Yes. To fit a wheel vertically, it needs to be collapseable.
