Hello,

I recently bought a 1972 914 1.7L. The previous owner had just put in a Bursch muffler (similar to the one in this photo), which is too loud for my taste. This muffler must have at most 200 miles on it. It costs around $400 online.

I would like to either buy straight out, or, even better, trade my muffler for, an OEM muffler. Must fit my 1.7L. I can buy Dansk ones brand new for $250 shipped on ebay. I would prefer a Lestritz, but I would probably be happy with the Dansk too (have people tried the Dansk ones?)

Let me know if you have something. My zip is 53705, for shipping purposes. (If fairly close to Madison, WI, I may be able to come and pick it up.)

Thanks,
Andrei.
