Zephyrblau, I’m interested. Can you send pics of the the vin’s please. Blue6, as requested. any other place(s) I should look ? Actually yes - there should be the matching chassis number stamped into the metal near the RHS front strut mounting. I believe there should be the Karmann build number stamped into the floor of the trunk too. Also, sticker and Karmann stamp on the inside of the drivers door. FYI. - Tony |

FYI. - Tony (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) What does the vin number say in the front trunk picture (circled in red)? I bet it starts 475 or 476 In the rear trunk pics the jack holder (in red circles) indicate a late car. The two other areas with the arrows above them are from a 75 / 76 car with big bumpers. Based on the other items such as big bumpers, side dash vents, brick style pattern on door cards & dash face, what looks like a fuel pump opening behind the fuel cell in the front trunk picture, seat adjuster rake on passener side floor and more. This is a late car These are not items that are easily swapped between model years. Attached image(s) |
