For what it's worth: I was talking to my friend/mechanic yesterday and he mentioned that he was 0 for 2 ordering rod bolts for a six he is rebuilding. They don't fit in the holes and are unacceptable. He spoke to Pelican about it. The manufacture is, get this, "OEM." Other parts are manufactured by "Germany." He surmised that they are Chinese manufacturers and we are being mislead by the name. He finally ordered some from Germany, the country.

^ Cool, no hard feelings. Just clarifying, since we're often blamed for failures for a lot of parts that we don't even offer (such as these rod bolts), and never have.
We definitely want feedback for any issue with our parts so we can make it right, but unfortunately all we can do is point out the facts when a competitor's part fails and we're wrongly blamed. |
