Well I went and got married last weekend and figured that was a good excuse to take the 914 out for a honeymoon road trip up the California coast. Went from Cambria all the way to Fort Bragg over the last week. Stopped at all the cool spots; Hearst Castle, Monterey Aquarium, Point Arena Lighthouse, etc. We had a great time and the car ran fantastically the whole time. Gotta say those twisties along the coast are Fan-Was-Tic! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Here's a few pics from the week. |

Took the then-girlfriend on a 16hr/900mi trip from Chicago to Albany NY in the early 80's in my 914-6. Drove straight thru with only a couple gas & bio breaks. Spent about a week with my family, and did more driving/sightseeing on the east coast. Figured if she could put up with that, she was a keeper. For the trip back, she was was my fiancee.
37 years later, I still have both of them. Good things happen in a 914... Wish the best for both of you.. |
