yep, I'd say old weber values are about to take a hit.
When I built my engine I wanted to use 46mm, no freakin way I was going to pay $6-8K for a used set. I might buy a set once they are proven.

Yep, I've sold 2 sets of 46's, both sets around $5K.

-One came on a car that was purchased for $4K. Sometimes you get lucky. Unfortunately, it was the shops luck, not mine.

PMO's don't look like Weber's, for a lot of peep's, concours nuts, etc., it's important.

If originality is key, I have a complete set of 40 IDPT 13C. Just totally rebuilt and taken off a running factory six. Linkage, filters, rain shields. Tight, now leaks. Need to sell.

Thanks Mark for posting. I have had folks ask me about Webers and this may be a great alternative to rebuilding/ re-manufacturing old ones. great price!

Yes not Italian, made in Spain, but the original made in spain webers was back in the 70/80's. From the ad I'd believe it's mostly new tooling.

If you look at the sheer number of weber carbs they are now reproducing I'd say Weber is under new management.

Pricing on their website $3370 40ID and $3630 for 46ID based on today's exchange rate. Price is for carb set only so need to add cost of manifolds, throttle linkage, and air filter. Still better $ than PMO.

For 46's it's a better price than cores, at least half the price of a good set.

Still a bit spendy... so on the wish list for now.

I was reading the November 2018 copy of Motorsport magazine and I noticed this Webcon advertisement. They list Porsche 356/914 applications.
