Yesterday, Jay Kjoller and I took the six to Chris Moore, Autobahn Extremist in Avon Lake, Ohio to have it dyno'd. Newly rebuilt 2.7. A data point for you should you find it helpful:
Disp: 2.687 Bore: 90 mm Stroke: 70.4 mm Comp Ratio: 10.8:1 1966 aluminum case JE Pistons DC30/Mod. Solex (Dougherty) cams Ports: int 35 mm, exh 38mm Carbs: PMO 40 venturies 40 34 main jets 135 A/C's 185 idle jets 50 idle airs 130 E-tubes F1H DFI twin spark set at: Init 2°, 3000 25°, 8000 5° Chris measured 183HP at the wheels, so, assuming 15% loss, 210HP at engine car runs great. a good compromise for a mostly street car. I am happy. Chris has a wealth of Porsche knowledge, experience and skill. Great shop! Like Jay, a perfectionist. I would not hesitate to take a Porsche there. |
