Originally I was going to part this out because I could make more money on it.
The fact of the matter is I'm lazy and figure I'll try and sell it whole first. This ad will be up til Sunday (12/2) after that it will be parted out. I brought this car up from Dallas not running or moving. It has a clean Texas title without mileage stated. Mechanicals: I've got it running on the Webers but it needs someone more patient that I to get it to 100%. I have installed a brand new Carter 3psi fuel pump and NGK spark plugs also. It also has CB performance Hex Bar linkage. Fuel tank is pretty clean inside, I rattled a chain around in there and nothing knocked loose. I did tap the outlet and return bungs for 1/4" NPT so no more leaky nipples. The 5 speed was rebuilt by the PO, there are a few threads from him here that I can share to back it up. I have it driving but as usual the front end seems a little loose. Exterior: It was disassembled for paint so all the trim retainers and misc are in the trunk with spares (he took apart a second car) It comes with a set of spare doors as whoever painted it dropped the LH door while trying to reinstall it. comes with 2 LH and 2 RH windows also. The paint is crap and has sanding scratches under the clear everywhere. They also filled the front marker light holes. The hell hole is covered up by a piece of sheet metal and braced with a piece of angle iron. It will need extensive work. The bottom of the firewall will also need replaced. Long on the LH side is good but they cut off the Jack point, RH side long will need repair in the rear. It has Mahle baby gas burners on it but the tires are dry rotted from sitting. the matching spare Mahle is there also. It has back dated chrome bumpers front and rear but the front lip for the big bumper has not been cut off nor has the bumper shock holes been filled. Top is in decent shape Interior: The fresh air system is missing completely and there is a hole in the dash panel (comes with spare dash) LH seat has foam but no upholstery, RH seat needs re-done also. Arm rest is in decent condition. Dash & Targa bar are cracked No visors / kick panel speaker mounts/ center console / Carpet Door panels are wavy and recovered in generic vinyl Back pad looks decent LH seat belt has issues Leather wrapped steering wheel (decent shape) The Long & the Short of it: No, you cannot drive the car home, I don't send people out in unsafe cars. Yes, you can drive it up and down my street slowly to confirm it will do it. I need to cover the cost of the car and transport so the price is $2500 Cash only, sorry no checks or paypal. It's located in Anaheim, near Knotts Berry farm If you are serious about buying it I can email specific pictures that you request. Tdskip- has first dibs on the wheels and steering wheel. If he passes you're next up.
