I have a MPS that is in good shape. It holds a vacuum and the primary and secondary coils are good. The problem is that its serial number is 0 280 100 027.
It is not a 0 280 100 049 (for a 1.7 Porsche)

Will this work for a 1.7 1973 Porsche 914 with a ECU 0 280 000 037, 013, 038?

thanks

Joe

The engine may seem to function with it, but it is not the correct MPS for a 1.7L 914. I found one source that indicated it is for a VW 1.7L T4. You would need to check all engine functions with test equipment to determine what is not optimal.
