I have been assembling my 73 914 and as i am going through the boxes i recognize most of the pieces but this one has me puzzled.
If someone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

Unless I am mistaken that is the triangle window support bracket on early cars.

Here's a pic of it and where it's installed (sorry, not the best, but all I've got at the moment):
