The problem I have with VAG cars running TSI motors, is carbon build up in the intake ports. Since there is no gasoline running through the intakes, because of direct injection, carbon builds up in the intake ports.
Then standard procedure to remove this carbon, is blasting it with walnut shell media. You don't want to know how much this costs.

So...it's been a long while. I finally purchased a car at the end of April, then instantly went on tour. Just got home and had some time to drive it.

2008 TT 3.2 Quattro
62000 miles

in fantastic condition, especially for a 12 year old car (was built 2/07).

clutch went out on the mk4, he lives in CA. no way will it pass smog ,wa olates,,,so new car time.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
