Good thing you are OK. It hurts to see a treasured 914 get thumped like that, but it's fixable or replaceable, while you are not.

Never a bad idea to explore all your options.

Thanks again for all of your expressions of concern for me and the car, along with help on what to do. In that light, I will start a new thread in the Garage section tomorrow as I move onto "Recovering My Ride".

Bummer about the car. It was definetly one of the most nicest sorted car out there, but what’s most important is that your alright. I forgot about Kent. I would definetly trust him to fix your car. I’ve seen what he’s Restored before.

Who sells the rear side panels - i have a call into Restoration Design, but as we discussed, they don't show it on their web?

Sorry Keith for what happened to your car. After all the time spent working on your car and just a glimpse your car will just be ruined by a txting driver. My boxster was rear ended 2 weeks ago which I believe was on her phone too. Now collision shop estimated around $15k to fix it.

Good you’re okay Keith! And yes Kent can easily fix your car except your insurance could consider it Totalled and pay you the current value of your car and if you fix it, you will end up having a salvage title. And that is what you will not want!

Do you have Kent's contact info?

The #12 outside quarter panel would be perfect.

I don’t think anyone makes that piece. It would most likely be NOS or used. Can’t hurt to ask restoration design and auto Atlanta for an NOS piece.

With the help of the exploded diagram view from Steve914 above, I have located all of the used parts required to fix my car, original parts removed by drilling out spot and other small welds to be welded on my car close to original, from Vince at Porscheaddic donor car bodies.

Will now move my progress reports to Garage section. Again, thanks for all the concern and suggestions - I (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) am now on the right track to having my car back close to original.
