What is this sensor? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) I have a California 76 2.0, if that helps. I thought it may have something to do with the EGR, which has been deleted.

Fuel over run (cut off) sensor, not sure what it really does though.

Early 914 2.0L cars used a rev limiting rotor. That cut the spark when you hit redline. Problem is, when you cut the spark, you don't cut the fuel that is being injected into the engine. That is bad for a car with a catalytic converter, as in Chernobyl style melt down of the catalyst. So the 75 and 76 cars got a fuel cutoff box in the fuel injection. This acted as a rev limiter, and didn't cause a meltdown of the cat.
