Hello,

Previous owner put clear coating on the targa and.. Let’s just say that it doesn’t look good. Is there a way to remove the clear coating without damaging the fiberglass?

Also the textile has came loose and appears to have shrunken a little. Is it salvageable somehow?

Thanks in advance
Jasmine

If it’s rattle can clear, some mineral spirits or other solvent might take it off.

Jasmine,

If it is otherwise in good shape & properly textured, then the best approach may be to just top coat the clear gloss, with a good matte or satin black paint true to the original finish.

Also, if the "mouse fur" grey perlon headliner is in good condition, then can be re-glued with a good quality interior spray adhesive to reattach it as a whole or loose parts. Otherwise, look for the replacement material from one of the member vendors on here, Auto Atlanta, Autos International, etc. - or perhaps Lakeland.com in Europe Belgium or Germany?) closer to you carries it.
