Looking to get a set of original 94mm Mahle 2.0L cylinders bored out to 96mm. What are the recommended tolerances for giving to the machine shop for this diameter?

I was going to do the same but it was recommended to just buy new ones from European motor works. The cost is the same and it was hard to find a machine shop to bore out the old ones.

The machine shop needs a torque plate to do the job, if they have to make one it will cost more than new jugs from EMW.
I build engines in Canada, we Canadians are cheap asses so I was going to make a torque plate, but with new jugs from EMW it's just not worth it. |
