The 914-6 was raced sparinglly and spent all of its life indoors, hence there is no rust. It has 9"and 11" IMSA GT fender flairs and is now set up for vintage racing. Vin number starts 9140430... Specs; 9" and 11" rims, Wilwood front brakes, 911SC rear brakes, stainless steel brake lines, 22mm front sway bar, Bilstein RSR front struts, rear Koni shocks, Recaro race seat, 5-speed transmission with good gears for racing Needs; Engine; the car comes without an engine, but we can build one for your race needs. Seat Belts are out of date. Tires will need to be replaced. Car Road Raced at; Daytona, Sebring, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Homestead, PBI, VIR, CMP, Miami Grand Prix. Thanks for your input. This race car is a factory 6. Vin.# starts 9140430...
It has no professional race history. Can be raced with SCCA, PCA, HSR,SVRA, POC, VDCA and many vintage race groups. |

Fuck, I can't sell the house in Huntington Beach yet... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
I have 2 dream cars. A replica 718 RSK-8 and a 914-8. Until just recently I didn't know that someone was building a case for that out of two 911 case's. A short stroke 8 cylinder 3.2. Man I'm getting wood, I need to call my lawyer. |

I would say that since it is a real six, but has no power plant what so ever and has sdissimilar body work in fiberglass as opposed to a 914-6 GT clone, that it would be most valuable to a guy wanting to vintage race it, NOT convert back, nor use occasionally. Hence the value is lower than it would be if a 6 gt clone without a power plant. My valuation is 30K

This race car is a factory 6. Vin.# starts 9140430... It has no professional race history. Can be raced with SCCA, PCA, HSR,SVRA, POC, VDCA and many vintage race groups. Unfortunately, race cars without "provenance" are rarely worth as much as their street versions, mostly because it appeals to a small, cheap audience (racers). If it had some kind of "provenance" then it would actually be worth more, because now it appeals to rich collectors. Add (subtract) in no drivetrain, and now you're appealing to a small cheap audience that has to spend more money to be able to race it. A small "plus" because it's a real -6. That may appeal to someone looking for a streetable project. Just the way it tends to be. I can't offer a hard number for you, but your best audience is likely the PCA racing crowd. Or try Bring-A-Trailer. Excellent candidate to convert to 904 kit car. And...boom. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I wish you would change the thread title.
its not likely an original GT might be an original -6, but the title reads as if you think it were an original factory GT gt replica is most likely the correct phrase |

I agree you should change the title since it is not a factory GT car.
Should be listed as a factory 914-6 race car complete less enging and transmission. Throw it on BAT and let the peanut gallery pick it appart and see what it will bring. I am thinking high 20's at best...GLWS If it had real RSR Fuchs it would help..IMHO |

My valuation is 30K That seems much more realistic. It's not an original GT as stated in the title, it's an original /6 that was built into a functional race car, but unfortunately didn't get any of the desirable actual original GT components. So a potential buyer either is going to just continue racing it or has to spent a heap of money turning it into a period correct GT clone or spent even more money to turn it back into a stock /6.
