10k for body work and paint? Not real world numbers. The numbers posted are for an owner with a well provisioned shop/facility and that has a vast skill set. An enthusiast learning the ropes? Double or triple the $ and years and years. Look at the 100k+, after tax dollars, all in cash projects that grace the pages here for years.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this since I fall in the "enthusiast learning the ropes" category, and have personal hard-lesson experience. It's not hard to drop $10k for a top level interior guy and $30K for minimal body work and top-tier paint work. Not bragging and not confessing. Just the facts. I tell people: I don't do it because it makes sense. I do it because the results make me smile. - MR |
