Joel -

I don't know anything about LJ, but out here most VW shops use Tuttles in the LA area or FAT Performance in Orange.

https://fatperformance-rimco.com/

FAT has changed ownership recently when Ron retired, & his guy(s) took over, but I don't know if he is still advising them now.

My long time since 1975 mechanic/tech Hans Assigal for my 914, Vanagon & BMW uses Tuttle's since back then, & he was factory trained on the 914s back in 1969 while still with Circle Porsche in Long Beach CA, before starting his own shop Hans Imports in Huntington Beach CA back in 1972 (he started in Austria with their largest VW/Audi/Porsche dealer during the 1960s, before coming to the USA).

He's put Tuttle's motors in both my 73 914-2.0 (1982) & in our `88 Westfalia (1999), & both were or are still running well (914 has been stored since `85, & Westy had a top-end in 2005 after about 80k miles).

Tuttle's has a 12 month warranty. I don't know what FAT or LJ does.

Cheers! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
