Video walk around of these cars that sold at Barrett Jackson. I was not registered as a bidder so the security people did not want me to touch the cars. I got what was possible but we know the real story is what's under the rocker covers--hell hole. The 75 was listed as a 2.0 but it really is a 1.8 with a big bore kit. The 76 has a big dent in the right quarter just below the sail panel. It can be seen as it drives by outside headed for the auction floor. Sold prices include the 10% buyers fee and don't forget the seller also pays 10%. These both sold for more than I though they are worth. What do you think they are really worth? Ray

Watch Barrett Jackson and Mecum Auctions pretty steady, the 76, is the only one I have ever seen on tv! It is nice to see our cars get some attention. Thanks for posting. Cheers!

I looked at both cars and didn’t think either car was worth more than mid teens. But I tend to undervalue stuff

The security people were watching my every move and had already warned me not to touch the cars. Ray

Is BJ the only one with a sellers premium or do all the auction houses have them?

I think most of these have both a buyer’s and seller’s premium. If you’d see the home that Mecum built up in Wisconsin, you’d see that this is a lucrative business once it’s widely recognized. I think Bring a Trailer is probably a good choice for most unless you can get lucky in Craigslist.

Don’t like the rust bubbles on silver one. A crappy upholstery job on silver one too. Don’t know if anyone else noticed from video but the Porsche letters on engine cover are not on straight. Lousy job of going over your work.

When I see what's out there for sale, I'm sooooo glad I never sold mine.

All the auction companies have some sort of fee for the buyer and seller.
