Un-restored, not re-touched, this is an original Dick Barbour Porsche dealership license plate frame from early 1970's when Dick opened a dealership
in La Mesa Calif. Chrome is very nice both front and back, color and paint is bright and vivid. Overall. does have minor "patina", but as nice as you'll find in a vintage original frame from this era. Includes Calif dealer license plate which I believe was the actual one from his dealership SOLD SOLD Next is an Alan Johnson Porsche dealership license plate frame from circa 1978 in San Diego. It is NOS, uninstalled and excellent throughout. Black plastic frame is unmarked and white letters are clean and clear.SOLD Last up is an AutoMotion plate frame. Opened in San Diego in Jan, 1968, Automotion was Dick Barbour and Dieter Vongehr's business before Dick's La Mesa dealership. This is an extraordinarily rare frame. I have never seen another in the past 40 years. This is an original, un-restored, un retouched frame. Chrome is Nice but does have a few extremely minor chrome pits and some superficial surface scratches..SOLD SOLD Attached image(s) |
