I am refitting the loom to my car. The feed wire from the battery to the starter motor was missing when I bought the car. What size cable should it be? 16mm2, 25mm2 or 35mm2?

The stock cable had two (?) smaller wires on the battery end of it. Those served to feed power to the rest of the car. If you want stock, get stock.

I have a Great Big Honking Cable on my car. I can't tell you the diameter off the top of my head. But in general the bigger the better. The cable is aftermarket, and has a positive post connector that is held on with two bolts. I have ring terminals under the bolt heads that the main power wires connect to.

The factory battery to starter cable is a little smaller than the American Wire Gauge (AWG) #4, which is a bit larger than 5mm diameter wire

You can use any battery cable of the correct length from FLAPS.

I would suggest that you use one of these: https://900designs-container.zoeysite.com/b...tive-terminal-1

This duplicates the factory way of attaching the wiring harness to the positive battery post.

I picked mine up from my FLAPS. It's 4 gauge.
