Met a guy at Amelia Island Werks Reunion who said he once owned a 914 with a 3.2 six and it had a Boxster S transmission. He did not do the build himself, said he bought it that way. I'm going down the 915 path currently. Never heard of this combo but was wondering if anyone had? Pros/ cons.

What is really cool is that Alan bought the car new. It’s a 1971 or 72 I believe. He was a member of NNJR when I joined in 1976. It was always a really nice original car that was used for club events as a stock 1.7. I doubt it needed restoration when he did the conversion. I frankly was astounded that he converted his long preserved and original car but hell, what a better starting point!
