Met a guy at Amelia Island Werks Reunion who said he once owned a 914 with a 3.2 six and it had a Boxster S transmission. He did not do the build himself, said he bought it that way. I'm going down the 915 path currently. Never heard of this combo but was wondering if anyone had? Pros/ cons.

You can just change the gears in your case to better match the /6. It might not be as strong, but you can make use of first rather than just starting in second. The only difficult part is having the gear for the stock 2nd cut off and a new one welded on.
