I'm looking for a flat tow hook that mounts over the front torsion bar end cap pickup point. The guy who makes these is a member here and I cannot remember his name. I'm trying to find his site or contact info so I can order another one. I bought one from him years ago for my 914 and need another one for a different car.

The one I'm looking for is very similar to the one in the rennline link below, except the tow hook/tie down loop is flat and extends out under the front bumper, instead of being welded to the plate that goes over the torsion bar cap at a 90 degree angle.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone remember who makes the flat one I'm talking about?

TIA

I would be in for this, I want something that would allow for not modifying the stock front valance. Saves on the weight of a trailer, I have towed with 4 wheels down with a motor home before, used a blue ox tow bar, had the mount brackets bolted to the front of a 4x4 suburban and my car too back then. if you make the brackets to bolt to the 914 rubber bar that can go under the valance I will get one for sure!. Lets do this before Okteenerfest!
