Them are "folders" which are "containers" also known as "threads".

Here's a breakdown of colors:

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_norm.gif) Dark blue:
Thread with small number of replies and new posts you haven't read yet

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_norm_dot.gif) Dark blue with little white mark in the lower right corner:
Thread with small number of replies and you have already actively participated in that thread and new posts you haven't read yet

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_norm_no.gif) Light blue:
Thread with small number of replies but no new posts

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_norm_no_dot.gif) Light blue with little white mark in the lower right corner:
Thread with small number of replies and you have already actively participated in that thread but no new posts

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_hot.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_hot_dot.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_hot_no.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/f_hot_no_dot.gif) Red:
Same as above but for "hot" threads with more replies

- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/style_images/Howard/folder_post_icons/icon15.gif) Wrench and Screwdriver Icon:
Indicates that someone deemed this their "build thread". It's one of the thread icons you can choose when starting a thread.
