I am 55. Held onto 2 of them for over 30 years now.

BTW.. the 21 year old inside of me looks in the mirror every morning and shouts "What the F**K ?!?!?!"

Got into the 914 thing kinda late. But much better than never...

57 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) When did that happen?

Bought first 914 in '83 and have always had at least one (running or not) ever since.
Been daily driving my LE for the past several years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/creamsicle914.jpg)

My oldest granddaughter (just turned 10) has claimed the Creamsicle.

Just about to hit a birthday that ends in a zero... have my 9/70 build 914 I've had since new. It was my first car as my dad wouldn't let me have a car until I graduated from college (he was much smarter than I am)... so you do the math.

Still no move from 55 being the average so I think after nearly 150 responses we have our answer.

So the average ago of a 914 is 55 years old (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

In general I think you're correct-something technical. Based on shows I've been to lately that might be the trend for younger people with older cars.

From reading this thread, it seems the average age of a 914 owner is the same as the average age of a 914. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

A little older Clay.

If the 914 is roughly 45 years old, and we are roughly 55 years old, then as a group we are about 10 years older than our cars.

That says a lot about when we began to take notice and want one...

I can agree with that. It's kinda like your taste in music. It gets set in your teenage years, and anything newer just seems to suck.
