Technically, the Phoenix orange number in my garage belongs to my kid, who is... six.

I'll be raising the average, currently 72. Bought my first 914 in 1988 at age 42 and had to sell it a year later when we moved to Stuttgart. Bought the second car in 2005 not too long after I retired. Still have car # two. I'v had the blue car to the left for 40 years so tend to keep some for a long time.

61...bought my first 914 in 1973. Wish I still had it because it ran, unlike my current project (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

If you go by conception date, I should be 65 but Medicare don’t play dat.

Still single track mountain bike, downhill ski, hike the mountains and occasionally run. On the senior side I also garden 3/4 acre, belong to a male dinner club and drive my 911 in a very non-leisurely manner.

50. On my second 914. Bought my first at 16. Apparently it’s a sickness you don’t recover from.

I just turned 47.
My first car was an air cooled four (73 VW bug).
My 914 is just reliving my youth, albeit in a slightly more spirited platform (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I am 70.
Wonder if @sirandy can export the birthdates of all members and calculate the true average of umpteen thousand 914 owners. I am guess about 65.

I do know of a 100 year old lady that still owns the 914 she bought new in 1970.
Top that. And she drove it until she was 96.

A fabulous 72, and I do not feel it. In the every morning. No smoking, drugs or alcohol.
Try to watch what I eat, that’s the hardest part. Enjoying the sunshine and blue sky in Palm Desert.

My son and son-in-law (32 and 38 respectively) would both like to have mine (75 with 3.2l six in it). Son-in-law won't drive it yet....he's a little afraid of the speed but never turns down a ride!

@bdstone914

That depends on how truthful people were with their entries ...

914 owners dont lie. Maybe if they are women who are just being conservative on their age.
Come on Andy we know you have nothing more important to do.

Alright alright ...

I ignored the month and just used the birthday year.
I also ignored any birthday year older than 1920.

CODE
SELECT AVG(2019 - bday_year) AS avg_age FROM table_members WHERE bday_year>=1920;

Answer: 52.4148

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

PS: The number of members who added their birthday year is currently 2317 which is just shy of 11% ...

44 here.

Mom had a 1975 or 76 914 back in 1986 and I've wanted one since. I've had mine for 2.5 years now. VW/Audi guy my whole life.
