With about a 2 inch gap at the door bottom and the Targa bar above at the roof heading aft, this chassis looks like it could be fully disconnected on the pass side.

Rat rods are a love it or hate it thing, and it would absolutely be sacrilege, but somebody could build a tube chassis / cage structure around a WRX mill and drive the heck out of that car exactly as it looks.

I went to see a blue one in Brecht, Belgium 3 years ago that was like this. The seller wanted £3500 for it!! all wheels and motor locked solid too!
