So back in '72 I saved enough cash ($2500) to buy a 1970 914. I had a great time with the car and drove with a friend all the way from Michigan to Colorado.. Two years later a driver ran a stop sign and I T-boned his car. The 914 was repaired but it was just not the same. I sold it.
Now that the kids are on their own and I have dialed back the work schedule I decided to purchase a 1975 1.8L, same Zambezi green color. The car currently has a progressive carb and terrible drive-ability. I am pretty far along in the process of collecting the parts for the L-Jet system and hoping to have it done in a 4-5 weeks. I have been searching the forum and found a lot of the information I need. Thanks. Anyway I just thought that I would introduce myself and say that I look forward to many technical discussions on the site. Regards, Ray |
