So back in '72 I saved enough cash ($2500) to buy a 1970 914. I had a great time with the car and drove with a friend all the way from Michigan to Colorado.. Two years later a driver ran a stop sign and I T-boned his car. The 914 was repaired but it was just not the same. I sold it.
Now that the kids are on their own and I have dialed back the work schedule I decided to purchase a 1975 1.8L, same Zambezi green color. The car currently has a progressive carb and terrible drive-ability. I am pretty far along in the process of collecting the parts for the L-Jet system and hoping to have it done in a 4-5 weeks. I have been searching the forum and found a lot of the information I need. Thanks. Anyway I just thought that I would introduce myself and say that I look forward to many technical discussions on the site. Regards, Ray |

Northville and Charlevoix. We think alike. What year is yours? Ray Ray, A fully restored 1974 2.0 Liter F.I chrome yellow. It's still in storage since we are busy building our new forever home in Petoskey that should be completed late this fall. We will then become full time residents and my 914 will be in my new garage with radiant heated floors.
