Would like to send a shout out to @Chi-town for selling me a great pair of taillight lens covers. Here is a picture of the old. Would show a picture of the newer ones but I already installed them. Could not believe how bad the old ones were.

Wow...now that is just crazy. Also a nice rubber o-ring or washer under the head of the new screw will help keep the water out.
