very funny. its actually Ctrl+click for right click on mac. I havent rebooted my computer in over a month, have you? I always laughed when i heard the M$ slogan, "where do you want to go today?" "IN the basement reinstalling windows was never my first answer, but I always found myself doing just that. but everyone is different. and that's cool. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) no worries...... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) |

nope. besides turning it on/off ... and mine is a developing machine. meaning i have *tons* of crap on it and it gets used 12 hours a day. but then again, i'm a geek. if there is such a thing as a "green thumb" for computers, i got it ... BTW. i used to be a MACGUY™ myself, but that was before you were born (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) my advice, just reinstall the damm thing. shouldn't take too long ... of course, there's always the possibility of conflicting startup extensions ... I have what people like to call a ghetto graveyard for computers. I am getting ready to start my OS/2 machine I just got from work. I have a performa 6116 (circa 1994) and a 660AV (circa 93) and I did have a Apple IIgs (circa 1986)

i'm sure that has all been resolved these days, now that the MAC is just another unix box ... back in the days, even the order of when an system extension was loaded was important. ATM comes to mind as one of them causing trouble. i remember that you had to rename certain extensions to change loading order (the loading sequence was picked by name) in order to make them work correctly ... but as i said, that was 20 years ago ...
