Looking to create an Audi style dash gauge pod. Has anyone tried this? Did a Google search with no luck. Not a fan of pillar mounted gauges. Probably going with Battery / Oil Temp / maybe a clock...or Cylinder Head Temp. VDO gauges, of course. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

It would be OK if it was a nicer rounded pod that compliments the speedo/tach/gauges pod. All the new porsches have a single gauge pod on top of the dash like this.

Dot't particularly like the squared off look of that, should compliment the shape of the 914 pod.
i have a 2 gage pod under the dash edge for CHT & oil P. Replaced the lighter socket with a dual USB that includes digital voltmeter. I'm going to replace the VDO CHT gage with a digital one . My phone sits nicely in the ash tray.

If you don’t use the ash tray, I found this a convenient location using a VDO rubber bracket.Attached Image

Lots of great ideas floating around. This one blends in well.

Got a three gauge pod, I think it was from Jegs. liked the finned look, kind of goes with the air-cooled engine thing.

I did the dash....Ferrari 250 GTO style

I like that dash like that , you can do a hidden Bluetooth radio under dash, - also like the window crank, looks VW? where did you source that from? I am changing mine out I hate the cheap black plastic ones the late cars had.

yup that is it, Amco provided a lot of accessories to the dealers so they could install on the new 914 and make some extra money
shift knobs
that console
rear deck lid rack
bumper bars front and rear

among other things, anyone have an old amco catalog showing the 914 items?

Not installed, but you get the idea. I would love to find one of these.... I have 4 gauges tho. Don't remember seeing one with the rectangle gadget with the LCD. Wonder what that is. Plus are the rocker switches usually used for seat heaters or power windows?

VDO stopped making the CHT.... so if you're going for pretty, they won't match. I like the "deposit box" the 3 gauge thing wastes so much space. So I bought 2 VDO type 2 hole "L" brackets and put them under the dash and at the top of the deposit box. Very functional. A/F OT OP CHT
