Gents, I have sold my race car and am thinning my treasures! This came 14 or so years ago from Roger Sheraton when I purchased 2 race boxes with 901 shafts, etc I have a 914 LSD, which Matt Monson says fits the 914, 1969 mag 901, 70-71 mag and 72-74 915 with 7:31 CWP. It worked like a charm for my vintage Type 4 E Prod. I have not disassembled the unit for inspection. As you can see with pics, I have the flanges and bolts. Not interested in separating at this point. Shipping from DFW area. Prefer local but am willing to work with purchaser. $2500 plus shipping, etc. Thanks old914dog

Problem with a Quafe is that they induce corner entry understeer and they also are not adjustable in any way.

All limited slip's will add under steer - nature of the beast. Helical's are indeed adjustable - bias ratio can be varied as a function of design typically about 2:1 but can be varied. Less bias = less under steer = less ability to transfer drive torque. No free lunch!

Likewise most friction disc LSD's are not adjustable other than by design (# of plates and by spring pre-load at the time of build-up).

Most importantly to all conventional LSD's - get a wheel in the air. No torque transferred. In practice - not an issue for most 914's operating on the street (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Unless you're talking electronic LSD's or torque vectoring differentials but that's another animal altogether.
