Anyone try the URO 914-6 engine mount?, i.e. Porsche 914 2.0L H6 GT18W6 Engine Mount Options

Back a few years ago this was an NLA chunk of rubber with a few steel plates that went for $2500 for a 40 year old part. I see now on ebay these have been reproduced by URO (shudder) for $150ish and wondered if people have tried them?



I was going down the sport transmission mount approach but would try this if it was any good.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Haven't you been saying you're going to make this mount for years? Point to even one aspect of our mount that isn't correct. Guessing that "good sample to work with" came in URO packaging, lol. Kind of like recent 914rubber control arm bushings, which look identical to URO's (even the end radius) but with a part number added to the mold at the flange.

Back to the topic; URO has two versions of this engine mount, one with OE durometer rubber (914 375 049 00) and a Heavy Duty "Club Sport" Version (914 375 049 00HD) that's 30% stiffer.

Options are always good though. You can even get new OEM mounts from Porsche Classic now, if you want a mount that's been made to exact OE specifications: Sunset Porsche Parts - Engine Mounting - Porsche (914-375-049-01)
