For sale complete engine from a 1975 914, engine number EC038995.
Ready for a stock rebuild or a build of your choice with perhaps larger pistons and cylinders and bigger heads, different cam etc. Engine disassembled, inspected, and cleaned and de-greased. Ready for final assembly cleaning and detailing. Case, crank, camshaft, pistons cylinders show almost no wear. Cylinder walls still evident with cross hatching. Crank and camshaft appear to need nothing. Must have been removed from a very low mileage car. Included; - all case hardware - all engine parts including a good flywheel - oil cooler - flywheel and bolts - stock cylinder heads bead blasted and seats appear excellent - rocker arm and pushrod hardware - valves, springs keepers, etc - oil filter adapter - valve covers- need sandblasted - high capacity new T1 oil pump, will need longer mounting studs - connecting rods all with in 1 gram of weight - pistons in excellent condition - pushrod tubes - pushrods - windage tray - lifters - newly balanced fan - under cylinder cooling shroud sheet metal baffles in great condition Only issue is several of the valve adjusters show some mushrooming. Probably should be replaced. Would recommend the elephant feet some venders are selling. We have some sheet metal, so if interested let us know. Shipping will be at cost. Note residue carbon showing on top of cylinders easily removed with solvent and then honing.
