This car was driving through Simi Valley when it fell off a transport truck. It was struck by an acquaintances vehicle. Look where it ended up, Copart Los Angeles.

It is pretty complete, 1.7, door, bumpers, trim etc..

I tried to offer to buy it as high as 1000 but someone is already offering more...

Structurally this car is a goner. Its worth its value in salvageable parts. Maybe someone has a completed rolling shell ready for powertrain, electrical and seats swap.

Nice.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Added to VIN database, definitely add other VINs you come across. Helps build the database ! There are over 10,000 entries now

Hi! So I ended up with car form Copart auction. Yes it was hit pretty bad and the frame is bent at the door area. I could really use some help to bring it back to life. I totally over paid for it, but I'm hoping to find someone who's willing to sell me part of the frame (A-Frame driver side) from the door to the top of the windshield. all the left panels and windshield will be replaced. but starting with a straight frame is key.
Any advise?

It would be easier and way less expensive to spend a couple grand on a good chassis than to spend the 10-20K to piece that one back together.
Or part it out, make most of your money back and buy another 914.

That is not a good starting point, better to find a good shell and move over what you can.

Yes it has a pretty good hit. Maybe it’s worth more in parts, but why not post up a thread in the garage with some better pics of the damage and propose the question. Damage is to the drivers side. Most rust damage tends to be on the passenger side. So parts may be easier to acquire.

You can strip it down and evaluate the damage. Hopefully you find it’s just ugly and not as bad as it appears. Either way, parts need to come off.

You just bought a lottery ticket, good news is you will get some if not all of your money back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Worst case you have a new hobby. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png)

I saw the car at the collision scene. Do you mind saying what it finally went for. I had bid and bid to what I thought it was worth but Copart is a difficult site to deal with. If not, that's cool, I was going to buy it for parts; engine / trans to transplant into a roller someone would get rid of eventually. You'll get your money back in the parts that are on the car.

No way would this pay to repair... the bent dash says it all. It was hit hard.
Hope you come out on this one one way or the other.
