How easy is it to fix noisy door check straps , as door opens the strap moves and clicks before the door fully opened . Have not taken door liner off to look as the car is not mine yet !

Basically, you need this.
A perfectly round hole in both the door stay arm and the receiver that's on the car. Both need to be the same size hole. And the pin needs to fit tight without any slop in both the arm and the receiver. Absent any of the above, and you'll have a noisy door stay mechanism. |
