Is it just me or do you have to take the VR off to remove the relay/fuse cover?

Some of the covers have warped and have been distorted making it difficult to remove voltage regulator.

Some of the covers have warped and have been distorted making it difficult to remove voltage regulator. On mine there is a tab on the cover that fits under the VR and runs the whole distance of the backside of it. You have to put the cover on first then the VR. And reverse to take the cover off. Not a huge deal but I also have to move the heater blower to get at the screws to remove the VR to remove the cover. Was just thinking about cutting that tab off so I can simply remove just the cover. But maybe mine is warped and that tab isn’t supposed to go under the VR in the first place? |
