I am a big time rotary guy. I have owned RX7’s , done rotary swaps into non rotary Japanese cars. Swapped turbo rotaries into non turbo RX7’s , did a rotary boat, helped with a rotary MG, and have done may Lemon’s Racing rotary powered cars. I even now have a turbo rotary powered Lotus 7ish creation. (1300 pounds and 350+ HP worth of Turbo Rotary is fun)! When I told my best friend I bought a 914, the first thing he said “rotary swap”? I told him “hell no” aint going to happen. Only air cooled all the way. Now I am definitely not a “stock only” purist... and not to start a flame war..., but I think any conversion to Subaru, Electric, Rotary, or whatever is not for me... not for this car...maybe something else. Each his own. |
